For 93 years sailors have come together in February to celebrate the start of the racing season by entering in the SCYA Midwinter Regatta. This years regatta will be held on the weekends February 4 & 5 and 25 & 26 depending on the venue. The dates have changed a little so as to not conflict with the Super Bowl and Presidents Day weekends. Some of the host venues may be holding the event an slightly different days to accommodate other events or the weather so be sure to check with the venue you are interested in.nnThis regatta has something to offer all sailors no matter what type of boat they may want to sail. The Remote Control Classes have been growing rapidly. Junior sailors will be represented in Newport Beach and Marina del Rey. PHRF classes will be held up and down the coast. And day sailors will be accommodated at many clubsnnSYCA hosts this regatta in collaboration of over 25 Yacht Clubs through out Southern California.
